February 2019 Goals Updated


Financial
- Put 15% into retirement. Thank you 401K
- Grocery Budget of $400 average for the year. I spent $397.88. I just made it. 
- List 30 new items on eBay and Craigslist. I listed over 30 items
- Make $250 side hustle. I got a $25 GC from Swagbucks, a $5 GC from Verizon, I cashed out PayPal for $54.63 (profit from eBay), I received $56.80 from a class action lawsuit.
- Go over our budget with Hubby Did it
- Go over the kid's budgets with each of them. Done!
- YD apply for scholarships. She worked on them all winter break
- Get tax stuff together and send to accountant I sent ours to the accountant. 
- File YD and son's taxes Hubby did them with the kids.

Family
- Go on a date with Hubby. We did 2. We went on a lunch date using a gift card. We went out to dinner with a gift card. I love free dates
- Celebrate Valentine's Day We had a nice dinner at home. We exchanged homemade cards and small gifts. 
- Celebrate Hubby's birthday We celebrated several days.
- Go prom dress shopping with YD We bought it! It's gorgeous. 
- Talk with OD at least 5 times a week. I talk to her as she walks home from work M-F. We Facetimed several times too. 
- Take Oreo for recheck. She did great. They did her shots too while we were there. She has to go back in March for a Lyme booster. 

Personal
 - Work out 15 minutes every other day. I did really good the first 2 weeks. Then I didn't. With all of the decluttering though, I'm counting that as a workout.  I lost 3.8 pounds.
- Read 2 books Nope

Food
- Do one meatless meal a day.I think we had 2 times this didn't happen
- Do one day a week with no meat at all. Done!
- Try 2 new recipes.  I made a GF pizza crust and it was very bad. I made a GF Focaccia  bread that came out good. YD used it to make sandwiches and pizza. I made our corn bread recipe with GF flour. It tasted the same. We use that to make our corn bread stuffing. 
- Get another pantry item to 6 months. I got 19 hand soaps
- No food waste.  Half a lemon, a piece of cucumber and 3 moldy bagels. I was not happy!

Cleaning
- Clean out my closet Did it!
- Go through eve Did it with help from Hubby and the kids. 

Projects
- Finish laundry area. Still need to get a curtain.
- Hubby fix broken kitchen cabinet Didn't happen

Overall I am very happy with how much I did. I also started cleaning out the basement. Still a bunch left to do but heading in the right direction. How did you do on your February goals?

  2. Haven't sat down to see how the Feb. goals came out yet but will do so soon and post it next week. My goal list wasn't very big or hard so there is that. lolz
    You done good as far as I can tell tho!

  3. Hi Mcoia and you did really well and came in under budget on your grocery average for the year :).

    I didn't set any goals for February as we were still settling into our new home but I have for this month. So far I am happy with this month's progress to date.
