Adding to my Pantry June 2019
My pantry is one of my happy places. I know that no matter what happens, I can feed my family. I try to buy items at the least expensive price. I shop sales, clearance, I use coupons and rebates. Doing all of these together insures that I pay the lowest prices on our groceries. We like to eat well. We cook most meals at home. Here are some of the ways I added to my pantry the past 2 weeks.
Aldi had ground turkey for $3.49 a pack just over a pound. The $2 off coupons made them each $1.49.
My neighbor gave me 2 more packs of american cheese. These are great for grilled cheese sandwiches, omelettes, quesadillas, and mac n cheese. They both went into the freezer.
Granola was marked down to $1.37 each. These are great for YD as they are GF. She takes them to work with her.
I have been picking lots of Kale from the garden. I clean it, dry it and then freeze it. It is great in smoothies.
I am loving the dehydrator that I got for my birthday. I have been drying lots of parsley. My first container is almost full already.
Stop & Shop had some good clearance this week.
Cereal for less then a $1.
I make dill pickles every year but I will try these too this year. Come on cucumbers.
These are for YD.
I don't usually buy this kind of item but the price was right. I will take it with us on vacation this summer for an easy meal. It was 74¢
I went to Walmart for a prescription and I always check their clearance.
These hooks will be great for YD's dorm room.
Applesauce individual cups for 25¢ for a 6 pack.
I have gotten 3 more packs of the Coconut Bliss bars. Hubby loves them and they were free with a coupon. Free is for me.
Have you added anything to your pantry recently?
You do such a fantastic job. Those are fantastic prices. I know your family has to appreciate your efforts and all the savings.
ReplyDeleteYou rock!!!!!
They do. That is why Hubby wanted me to quit my old job. I do so much around here that stretches his paycheck.
DeleteIt is time for me to inventory again and get the freezer ready for summer produce abundance.I love having frozen produce during the winter months.
ReplyDeleteYou got some great deals. For whatever reason, my phone is letting me comment today. I’m so excited😄
ReplyDeleteI asked Hubby when you told me that you couldn't comment. He looked at everything and it seemed fine on our end. He said you could have something on your end that isn't allowing you to do it. i am really bad at this stuff and he does IT for a living so I go with what he tells me. I am happy you could comment today. Hopefully you still can in the future.
DeleteHi Mcoia and you got so many super deals that saved so much money for you and your YD.
ReplyDeleteWe keep $40 a month for pantry stocking on specials and this is what we purchased -
- Bought on half price special 2 x 6pk packets of hamburger rolls @ $1.75 ea, 2 x 6pk of hotdog rolls for $1.75 ea and 2 x 6 pk of wholemeal large dinner rolls $1.15 ea for $9.30 total saving $9.30. I can't make them for this so when I see them I pick them up and put them in the freezer. I have now worked out Monday's are the day they reduce everything in the bakery section in this particular small supermarket.
- Bought a packet of 48 x 3 ply toilet paper for $14.99 from Aldi saving $22.16 over buying it in the supermarket. This is definitely a stock up price for toilet paper here even though I only needed 12 rolls from what we used so I have increased our toilet tissue supply by 36 rolls.
- Also at another small supermarket on half price specials and better we purchased 6 x pkts of french fry chips, 2 x 3pk pkts of croissants @$1.00 ea, and 4 packets of 6 pk bread rolls for 0.92c per packet for a total of $15.28 saving $17.12 on usual prices.
We still have .47c to carry over to next months pantry stocking budget.
Hope everyone had a great week of finding bargains :).

You got a lot of great prices. You can never have too much toilet paper in my opinion.
