- Don't gain weight over the holiday. Let's not talk about this.

- Get hams cheap for the freezer. I am hopeful to still get them. They haven't gotten cheap enough for me yet
- Stock up on sale items. I got lots of sugar.
How did you do on your goals for December?
- Put 15% into retirement. Thank you 401K plan
- Grocery Budget of $400 average for the year. With YD going GF this got off track. We spent $610.65
- List 10 new items on eBay and Craigslist. I sold 11 items this month
- Work extra shifts when available. I missed a week of work because of vertigo. I did get extra work the other 3 weeks. And then I quit.
- Go over our budget with Hubby Did it!
- Go over the kids budgets with each of them. Did it.
- YD apply for scholarships. She has done several more this month
- Pay cash for Christmas. There will be no credit card regret in January for us.

Family
- Go on a date with Hubby We went driving around looking at lights and listening to Christmas music one night. We got take out one night that we were home alone and watched Netflix, we went to see Mortal Engines with my free passes one night.
- Celebrate Christmas. We had a great week visiting with family and friends.
- OD come home for a visit. She did and so did the BF

- Make homemade Christmas gifts. I did a few but not as many as I wanted.
- Finish writing cards and mail Done
- Finish decorating inside YD and I did it
- Finish Christmas shopping Did it with plenty of time left.
- Wrap everything All done

- Do gingerbread house with kids. Didn't happen.
Personal
- Facetime with OD every week. I don't think we did it every week with everything going on. I do talk to her almost everyday either by phone or text.
- Read 2 books With the vertigo this didn't happen. I have gone to the eye doctor 4 times this month.
- Make someone a meal that needs it. Didn't happen this month- Don't gain weight over the holiday. Let's not talk about this.

- Do one meatless meal a day. Did it
- Do one day a week with no meat at all. This is easy now
- Try 2 new recipes. I made apple cinnamon syrup and it was a hit. I made GF vanilla cake and YD loved it. I made GF banana chocolate chip muffins and they were great.
- Get another pantry item to 6 months. Maybe sugar. It depends how much baking I do.
- No food waste. Hot dog buns got moldy.

DeleteI love the monthly goal updates! I'm sorry to hear of your struggles with vertigo; my sister in law had a really nasty time with that after a concussion last year. Do you listen to audiobooks at all? My husband and son love them, but I find my mind wanders and I have a hard time paying attention. I do love listening to podcasts, though (although my current favorite one is about reading! :D).
ReplyDeleteI don't really like audiobooks. The voice is never the one I expect. I do love podcasts especially Dave Ramsey.
