Making Cents Of It All

Rest in peace Chewbacca and Princess Leia. I grew up with Start Wars. I was 3 when the first movie came out. I have seen every movie more times then I can count. They are a part of my family. They are an escape from the real world. That good will always win. And remember, Let the Wookie win.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day! We spoiled Hubby yesterday. He had waffles with strawberries for breakfast, hot dogs and mac n cheese for lunch (his request as I HATE hot dogs) and we grabbed burgers from his favorite burger place for dinner. We went to see Solo: a Star Wars Story. He had a great day and did some things around the house that he wanted to do.  I ended up working 5 days this week so my week was busy. I did get into the garden 3 times to weed. It needs a ton more weeding so I will hopefully get in there some more. Peas are growing like crazy and we have been snacking on them. The lettuce looks great and I can start picking the outer leaves soon. I have 2 hot house peppers that are getting big. I have to look up how big they get because this is my first year growing them. We have been enjoying all of our fresh herbs again.  Hubby took everything out of the shed and restained the floor. He then put the new shelves that our neighbor gave us ...

Dave Ramsey ! I listen to his podcast every day while I cook. I wish I had found out about him and his plan when I was in my 20's. He has really changed Hubby and my future. My son gave me a book of his for Mother's Day. I am loving it. Thanks Dave! Homemade mac n cheese! Quick and easy to make and so yummy. After work and then running around with YD I needed something easy so I made some for dinner. The great thing about it was I kept some pasta on the side for Hubby and put his non dairy cheese on his so he was happy too. Comfort food, you are wonderful. Star Wars! The new Solo movie is coming out tomorrow and I can't wait (Yes I'm a geek). Work is going to be crazy busy because of it but I don't care. Star Wars is worth it.  My son! He emptied the dishwasher and washed all the dishes. He is such a good person. He didn't have work today so he cleaned up around the house for me since I am working 6 days straight.
