We went to upstate NY for part of last week. We wanted to enjoy all of the beautiful fall colors and activities. This will be what I have gotten the last 2 weeks.  I bought 4 pumpkins from Aldi. They were on sale for $2.99 each. I will cook them up after Halloween.  Vegetable oil was on sale for $3.49 each, limit 2 so I grabbed them.  Whole peeled tomatoes were marked down to 21¢ each. I bought all of them.  Soups were marked down to 67¢. I only grabbed 2 for my son since I don't know if he will like them. I can't eat them because of the sodium and Hubby can't have them because they contain dairy.  Whole chickens were on sale with a coupon for 69¢ a pound, limit 2.  Pepsi was on sale for 77¢, limit 4. We host Thanksgiving so I got them early.  Taco kits were on the marked down rack. We love tacos.  They were $1.24 each. If the shells are broken, I will make a taco salad with the...

We had Hubby's company picnic this weekend. They always have lots to do. I enjoyed the BBQ and cotton candy. They always do a kids pinata but this year they did an adult one too. It was so funny to watch. It was filled with little plastic bottles of liquor.  You had to spin around five times and then swing. No way my vertigo could handle that so I just watched.  They do several free raffles for the employees. And Hubby won one. We always sign up to be on the clean up crew. We brought home lots of leftovers. I made trays for several of the younger single people to take home food too. They were shy to come up and make it themselves but were grateful when I handed them trays already done.  Hubby and I stopped at some yard sales. I spent $1.  Hubby spent $4.  YD is keeping busy at school. She brought art supplies with her. Her new friends and her are painting lots of rocks they found on campus. She is making some for gift...

Sorry this is so late. I worked 6 days last week and I am probably going to work 6 days this week. That is good and bad. Bad because I still have to cook, do laundry and a 100 other things. Good because my checks will be very nice.  Since we are saving as much as we can right now for college I will work as much as I can. Several popular movies are out right now so work is letting us have more hours. Lets get onto what I did beside work and sleep. I signed up with a few friends to attend library classes. This one was a fall decoration. It was 2 hours of painting and chatting with some lovely ladies. I almost didn't go because I figured I could do something better with my time but Hubby said to go and have fun. I also picked up a few books while I was there.  We brought food, reusable water bottles, and snacks to work and school.  I charged my phone at work all week. If I am there I might as well use there electricity. Hubby and I went to see the ...
