Happy National Donut Day. Today I will be going to my local Duck Donuts for a free cinnamon donut. They were kind enough to send me an email to remind me. There is no coupon needed. I know lots of other places are doing some kind of deal today, some of them you need to make a purchase to get the free donut so just check out the details.  Here are the freebies that I have gotten this week. I have been using up my free birthday coupons.  My son and I went to IHOP one morning that he wasn't working. I used my free stack of pancakes coupon and drank water. I did pay for my son's meal though.  I went to Panera and and got a cinnamon bun as my free pastry. They are so good. Since my son works there, I am allowed a free drink. I snacked on this while I ran lots of errands.  My son and I hit up Dunkin Donuts on our way home from Lowes one afternoon. He helped me pick up mulch. We have been picking strawberries everyday. They have been used in milkshakes, steel cut oats, on pancakes and eaten fresh. We love having them. Hubby and I think we found an are to plant more.  I received lots of wonderful gifts for my birthday. Everyone was very generous. OD sent me a box of cookies since I didn't get to see her. They are so good. I also got a dehydrator(I have been wanting one for a while), a book, chocolate, nuts, malt mix and gift cards.  One of my sisters came over on my birthday and treated us all to lunch. We had a great time. We brought all of the leftovers home of course and enjoyed them later. My sister recently moved. She has always used my BJ's card. There isn't a BJ's near where she lives so she got a Costco card. You can get a second card so she asked me if I wanted it. We went with YD after lunch to get it.  All I needed was milk. Youngest Daughter had her Senior Banquet this week. She got a free ticket since she is a class officer($90). She also got to bring home a centerpiece. Isn't it pretty. She had a great time and wore a dress and shoes that she already owned. She looked beautiful. Carvel sent me a coupon for a free cone for my birthday. Free ice cream is my favorite. I also received a gift card from for sister and a check from my parents. Now to decide what I am using them for. I have several other free coupons to use this week.  I started picking strawberries from the garden.  Over the weekend we went to my sister's new house in Connecticut. Look at that view. Lets look at what I got free this week. I love freebies.  Hubby, YD and I went to  Old Westbury Gardens  last weekend with a library pass. We brought a picnic so all we spent was the gas to get there and home. We had a great time and are looking to go back when the roses are all in bloom. I already signed up for several passes for this summer. Free outings are the best.  It was a dog day when we went there. Booths were set up selling items and doing raffles. We wanted to look at everything for Oreo, Lip and Ruby. We each got a free sample of dog food.  Later that day we went to Lowe's. They had a special that if you texted the word Spring to them you got a coupon. We all got $5 off any purchase. We went and bought some items we needed for the house. I  won  a contest at  http://simpleslug.blogspot.com/ . My package arrived this week. Thanks again Sluggy. The chocolate is already gone. The kids took the gum. OD will be getting the toothpaste since that is the kind she likes.  I cashed out Swagbucks and got a $25 gift card to Walmart. I see free shopping in my future. I also got a $5 gift card to Home Depot from Verizon Up.  I went to Panera for lunch with 2 friends. I got 2 free drinks for each of my friends. I drank water.  One of them had free cookie coupons so we all got free cookies. I used a gift card from Christmas to pay for my soup. I brought the bread and 1/2 the cookie home.  Hubby and I went to Cheesecake Factory on a date. I used part of the gift card I received when I left my job.
