Hubby went out to lunch with his department to celebrate the end of the year. They went to a very nice steakhouse. His company paid for it. Hubby brought home his leftovers. His office has been having lots of end of year meetings. Pizza has been served numerous times. Hubby grabbed some of the leftovers one day. This was YD heating it up for dinner the next night. There was also some salad piazza leftover. I ate it but I don't understand it. We finished the hot chocolate at work but there was whipped creams leftover. The kids enjoyed trying them but they are not something I would buy. I also brought home more butter. They never keep it for the next meeting. I don't understand why, but I am happy to take it home. This went into my freezer. My office got a box of DVDs and Blu-rays. I was not there when it came in but one of the managers was nice enough to put these in my desk for me. My Frugal Weeks: November 26 and December 3, 2018

It has been a very busy few weeks. Between work, getting ready for the holidays, vertigo and doctor's appointments, I just haven't had time to write. Sorry about that. I am doing much better and am glad that it happened when it did and not at Thanksgiving. Youngest daughter and I did finish decorating the inside of the house. This was my lunch one day with an apple I brought while I was out Christmas shopping.  I have been cooking lots of pumpkins. I have been making muffins and sending them to work and school. I also gave some to my chiropractor. Our outside light broke. Hubby fixed it and a bathroom outle...

The driveway is finally finished and it looks amazing. We have been saving up for this project for a while and it was so worth the wait. We of course paid for it in full since we no longer use credit cards. It got us 5% off our bill. I was happy to put the 5% into the college fund. It was originally a long single driveway that could hold 3 cars. Now it can hold 6-7. We live on a busy road and have 4 cars so it is great that they all fit in the driveway now. We have to wait a week to park on it.  Speaking of cars, the car YD drives has been having constant problems. It was turning into a money pit. It was a 1999 Maxima that we bought from friends 3 years ago. It has been a good car but it is much more work then Hubby has time for right now. We sold it 2 days after putting a for sale sign on it. We did disclose everything that is wrong with it. They guy that bought it said he can work on it. We are currently looking for another car. We were shuffling cars between all of us ...
