Why I love leftovers...

Saturday I spent the day helping with a Church Fundraiser. I was there all day until 11pm. Another volunteer was in charge of packing up food. She gave me a tray of meatballs and 6 loaves of Italian bread.

I had to work all day today, thank you Avengers. So dinner was very easy tonight. Meatball heroes.

Add in part of a salad that my son brought home from work, for free, and you have dinner for free.

There is so much more left still,so I think spaghetti and meatballs is going to be on the menu for tomorrow. I have to work all day and then get YD and my sister from the airport. Leftovers, I love them!

    1. My friends and family know that I don't say no to free food. I don't even have to ask any more. People just pack it up for me because they know I will take it.

  2. Leftovers are great unless I have too many and then I wind up eating the same thing for lunch, day after day!

    1. We will eat them tonight again and then the rest are going into the freezer for future meals.

  3. I'm glad you got to have those leftovers! That sure helps with quick meal prep. Also, I'm sure you get tired when there's a blockbuster movie, but it's probably nice to get extra hours. That's how I feel when I get extra hours--happy and grateful for the extra money, but oh, so, tired sometimes:). So, yesterday evening, I crashed and burned, and did not leave the couch for 5 hours! Hopefully, that will do the trick. I, also, have some food in the fridge for dinner tonight, so that's very helpful.

    1. It has been crazy busy since Thursday. I was very happy to have something easy for dinner. I was so tired Sunday evening. I sat on the couch for hours. The money from the extra shifts are always helpful. It will be busy at work from now until September so I will get more hours. It's all going straight to the college fund.

  4. Oh, we love meatballs. Not sure why I don't make them more. We have been out of church for awhile and just recently started going back regularly so I struggle with having quick meals ready on Wednesday nights and for Sunday after church when everyone starving. I'm going to start using my crockpot more so meals can be ready when we get home.

    1. I love my crockpot. In the summer I will throw everything in it in the morning. It will be ready for dinner and I don't heat up the house.
