    And I'm another Mary Beth. We've met before, I think at The Prudent Homemaker? This is a pretty blog, I like the white space that makes this easier to read. My website is crowded and dense with words, but I have been writing for a zillion years (not all at this website) - so I guess I HAVE a lot of words.

    Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog this morning! One daughter got lots of loans for college and we're helping her out by paying half of the payments. My other daughter probably will get loans too for college, but she has her sights set on a community college so it will be a fraction of the first one. VERY manageable! My oldest, a son, never went to college but is learning as he goes.

      Some people do wonderful without college. As long as they understand that they are at a slight disadvantage then that is fine. Nowadays everyone makes you think that if you don't go to college it is the end of the world. Thanks for stopping bye.

I Quit My Job!

I have been working at a movie theater for the past 13 years. I started when my YD was still at home. I had been babysitting a friend's daughter and she had started school. We needed the money so I got a part time job there for nights and weekends. It worked for us because Hubby watched the kids. I didn't have to pay anyone and I didn't want a stranger watching my kids. When YD started school, I transitioned from nights to days. But I still had to work weekends and holidays.  The movie theater is open 365 days a year. We have only been closed on 1 day since I started, Super Storm Sandy and that was because the state mandated it. We are open every holiday, every snow storm, everyday. When I took the job, I knew that. I signed paperwork saying I would work weekends and holidays, that I had a reliable car and could get there in any weather.  13 years is a long time. My Frugal List: Week of March 18, 2018

  It has been a weird week. We had snow midweek. School let out early Wednesday and was closed on Thursday. However my job was not closed (I work at a movie theater part time). Super Storm Sandy is the only time I remember my job being closed. They will close and hour or 2 early but that is it. Luckily Hubby has a 4 wheel drive truck and loves me enough to drive/pick me up from work. Both days were quiet at work so I did get to catch up on paperwork.   The snow was beautiful but now it is almost all gone. Temps were in the 40's Friday and Saturday so things seem to be warming up. I'm hoping to get some peas planted this week but I'm not sure if Mother Nature is going to let that happen. We had some of Hubby's cousins from out of state come for a visit.
