Thankful Day 5

Today I am thankful for Oreo and Lip. They love me unconditionally. Whether I am gone 5 minutes or 5 hours they are always so excited that I am home. Oreo is the sweetest dog ever. She knows when I am not feeling well and will just lay next to me to watch over me. She knows when I am sad and gives me lots of kisses. Lip is a ball of energy and makes me laugh so much. He is a silly little guy but he sure likes to cuddle. They make our house a home.

    I'm thankful for our doggies too. I know I'm going to miss my Daughter's dog(even though her dog is a PITA most days)when Daughter graduates and leaves this Spring.
    Fur babies are truly part of a family.

    Today we are thankful for Tabatha our cat who likewise knows when we are not well and presses on us on the bed and talks.

    Today she had her first ever bath since she came to us as it was too cold previously and we wanted her to settle into the home first after being a stray. She took it really well and didn't scratch us at all but wasn't really happy with us while we were washing her. Now she is almost dry she is leaping and hopping everywhere as it is now 35 oC here and very hot.

      Cats are part of the family too. My son and Hubby are allergic so we can't have cats otherwise we would.

Oreo Got Hurt

She is OK and that is the most important thing. We are not sure exactly what she did to herself but she started limping Monday night. I checked her paw to make sure there was nothing in it. Hubby and I decided to block the stairs and have her sleep on the first floor. She usually sleeps in our room. Hubby brought down her bed to the living room. In the middle of the night she did a loud yelp. You have to step on her for her to yelp so it was very strange. Hubby and I flew down the stairs to check on her. She was in pain and didn't want to put her foot down. We got her to lay down and I got ice on her leg. I wasn't sure if it was her paw, leg or shoulder. She finally went back to sleep and I did too.  YD is the first to get up and I heard her walking around. 2 minutes later Oreo let out another huge yelp. I ran down the stairs and she was in the kitchen. She had an accident on the floor and wanted to go outside. We have one little step out the back door and she had no prob...

First Garden Harvest 2020

I hope everyone is healthy and doing alright with our new normal. When the weather permits I have been out side working on the gardens. My kale never died the winter because it was so mild. It recently started growing again.  I was able to pick a nice bunch this morning. I will be incorporating it into our meals this week. YD loves smoothies and always tosses some kale in. The gardening season has finally begin! Have you harvested anything from your garden yet this year?
