Friday Freebies

On New Years Day I had this wonderful Email from Panera. I get a free bagel everyday in January. OD had it for December and between her, my son and myself we only didn't use it twice. One of those days was Christmas and they were closed. We will be happy to use it all month long. Since my son works there, he grabs it most days. We also get free drinks since he works there so when I do stop bye, I can get a bagel and a drink.

I had bought Panera gift cards for several people for Christmas. They had a promo that if you spent $50 you got $10 in bonus money. The bonus money is only good in January. I used one of the cards on YD and me. We split a You Pick 2.

We also grabbed our free bagel and drinks.

As always my son brought home lots of leftover goodies from work.

This is my favorite bread. It is a sourdough and is so good with my homemade honey butter.

YD's friend sleep over on New Year's Eve. She brought cookie dough to make. We enjoyed them.

Hubby picked up this work bench. It was listed on Craigslist for free.

Hubby also brought home some treats that were leftover at work. His office had bought breakfast for New Years Eve. The office was closed New Years Day so they would have gone in the garbage.

My in-laws came over for dinner while OD was home. My father in law makes his own wine every summer and brought a bottle. He also makes his own red wine vinegar and he brought a bottle of that too. They also brought cookies .

I got some freebies in the mail this week. My son will happily drink the coffee.

I will happily use these samples.

Now that I quit my job, I can go to classes at the library during the day. They had a walk in paint class. My friend and I went together. She drove me. We got there early and good thing because it got packed. They had to bring in 2 more tables. We were painting a picture of the Eiffel Tower in case you can't tell. It was a fun 2 hour class.

New for 2019, the library is serving coffee, tea and snacks for their adult classes. I had a pack of cookies as I created my masterpiece. When we were leaving, the librarian told my friend and I to grab a snack for our kids since there were extra. Thank you very much.

What did you get free this week?

  1. What a great week you had.
The night before trash pick-up I went out to put the can out, and noticed trash had been pulled out on the guy across the street bin. (someone had been looking in bins and not being considerate).
I went to p/u stuff and put back in - I saw a ripped bag with a new notebook of graph paper. It had 3 pages written on. I brought it home and will use as note paper.
I also pulled out the last of store receipts from wallet and noticed a coupon for FREE - doz. large eggs and a $5 off any purchase coupon both from Kroger. Date expired tomorrow.
I am no spend this month - but ran up there any way. I am all about FREE. I got the eggs and ground sausage was 2/$5. Got that for FREE as well. That was it and I left!!!!!!
    Have a good weekend!
