Adding to my pantry
I keep telling you about all of the clearance shelves at Stop & Shop. I thought I would show you some pictures so you get a better idea. There have been up to 6 shelving units at one time. This is the last week and a half. I have been stopping in when I am near by to see what new items are out.
YD loves cranberry juice. These were $1,24 each.
I've never had pomegranate juice before but for 99¢ each we will try it. |
These shelf stable soy milks were 54¢ each. I admit I cleared the shelf. I bought all 32. A few days later there were more and I bought all 16. I usually can get 2 of Hubby's soy milks on sale for $5. These work out being $2.16 for the same quantity. Just on the soy milk I saved over $34. Hubby and YD drink it everyday. It expires in November and we will finish it long before that.
Candy was marked down too. YD loves Twizzlers. The kids and I all are gum chewers. The chocolate will be used for smores all summer long.
A different day there was more candy.
I have never had Godiva pudding but I'm sure we will like it.
These were 74¢ a bag for chocolate Chex mix. I will use them at YD's graduation party.
I always grab soap for under $1, otherwise I get it from Dollar Tree.
Some cereals we liked were marked down. I won't pay over a $1 for cereal.
I was really excited about marked down olive oil.
3 packs of tissues were $1.12. I bought all 5.
That works out to 37¢ a box.
Dairy free granola bars were marked down. Hubby will keep these in his desk as easy snacks and on road trips this summer.
Popcorn was marked down. They have dates until 2020. YD can take some away with her to school. Hubby will take some to work for snacks.
In addition to the shelves up front, there are marked down products in certain locations.
I got 5 dozen eggs marked down in the dairy department.
I also got seltzer 2 for $1 and canned beans 2 for $1. Those were sales.
So that has been my shopping lately. I did Ibotta after my shopping to earn money back. Every little bit helps. It is like a treasure hunt every time I go. Adding to your pantry doesn't have to cost a fortune.
What did you add to your pantry this week? Did you get any great sales or clearance items?
Mcoia you did so well stocking your pantry at such a low cost with some like the dairy free options really cheap as I know they are expensive usually to buy.
ReplyDeleteNo shopping here at the moment but we will be doing our once a month shop Tuesday of next week so we will see what we can pick up then. We did pick up some bargains in the gardening department which was a 30m roll of 50% shadecloth on eBay saving $103.92 over purchasing in our local hardware store and also purchased bulk drip irrigation fittings saving $119.06 over buying them in the hardware store too.
Have a great week ahead everyone :).

Thank you. Good luck with your shopping next week. I hope you are able to fill your pantry cheaply.
DeleteThose prices are AMAZING! We do not have a Stop and Shop here but we must have a sister store because our brands and price stickers are identical but our prices are way, way higher! I have never seen markdowns this cheap. #jealous ;-) Bobi
ReplyDeleteThey are redoing the store. It will not last much longer since they are almost done. Usually they have a small section for mark downs.
DeleteWow, wow, wow! What awesome prices! You are truly being blessed with markdowns to fill your pantry. Great finds!!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like that around here, but nice to see someone benefit from huge markdowns.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteYou got some great deals! It's so nice when you can stock up at such wonderful prices!I
ReplyDeleteOur local Stop & Shops (we have 2 in my town) are nearly back to their usual stocks since the strike, so I did a big shop on Wed. They had large white eggs for $.77 a dozen (sell by date June 15); I got 4 dozen (I already had 1-1/2 dozen fresh-from-the-grandhens at home, so that's plenty for the 2 of us). Our clearance section is pretty small, but I always check it--this week I found packets of Splenda brown sugar blend for $1.24 each (each is the equivalent of 2 lb. brown sugar; got 2) and containers of spoonable Splenda for $1.46 each (got 4). Also found some decent deals on meat, produce and some sale and clearance gluten free items. The sell by dates are in 2020 for the clearance items, but I'm sure we'll use them before then.
That is great that you were able to get so much stuff. I'm glad the strike is over and your stores are back to normal. I saw lots of Splenda on my marked down shelves too. Maybe they are changing the packaging. We don't use it so I didn't get any.
