Friday Freebies

Hubby needed an item from Harbor Freight. He used a 20% off coupon and a free item coupon. They were out of the free flashlights that we like so he got a free tarp instead. We can always use it.

A friend called and asked if we would like a gallon of milk. They had relatives visiting and had bought milk. They do not drink it and they relative were flying home so they couldn't take it. Of course we will.

My son went to the dentist for his 6 month cleaning. It cost us nothing out of pocket with our insurance. He brought home some goodies.

I got a coupon in the mail for sparkling waters.

Our neighbors got new backyard furniture. They offered us 2 of these chairs. They fit great on the front porch. I just have to clean them up a little.

Hubby and I went to my cousin's engagement party. After dinner they offered everyone leftovers. They had several GF options since several guests were GF. I made a tray up for YD. My mom didn't want any so she made a tray up for my son. They both ate it for lunch the next day at work.

My sister did a fundraiser for an organization that she volunteers for. She had lots of goodie bags leftover. They came in these reusable shopping bags. She gave us 3.

They had reusable cups, a hat and a wireless speaker in them.

They also had lots of coupons and a box of popcorn. She gave us an extra case of popcorn too. We have so much popcorn now since I just bought a bunch last week. I will use some at YD graduation party.

She also gave us a bunch of individual salad dressings that were leftover.

Did you get any freebies this week?

  1. My son also went to Harbor freight and used the 20% off coupon for a pair of $4.00 knee pads for work. He wondered if he was "too" cheap. I replied there is no such thing!

    1. Thrifty is a much better word; however, there is a difference between cheap/thrifty and stingy. I do NOT want to be greedy. I like saving every penny possible so we can share from our abundance.

  3. Hi Mcoia and you did really well and you are right you can always use free tarps as we use many here too :) . That was wonderful of your sister to give you the leftovers from the fundraiser as likely they were all donated products to raise money for the organisation.

The things we received free were -
    - a 6 burner BBQ in good condition that we only need to put in a few screws for the lid and replace one burner control knob on.
    - A really large table that I will use for my sewing room as a cut out and sewing table. I will give it a coat of paint on the top to pretty it up a bit :) .
    - Lots of rockmelon and honeydew melons and a watermelon from our next door neighbour's gardens.
    - 3 dwarf apple trees also from our next door neighbour that they grew from seeds as she is selling her home.

Hope everyone else had a great week of savings too.
